I doubt they were the ones to hurt the missing crew, but the build up makes me worried about what actually happened to them. Wanda ended up telling Luffy with silence that the line about a corpse of one of their friends is probably accurate. She uses a sword and seems to be the head of her duo with Carrot. Alongside her is Wanda, a sexy dog creature which, alongside Lucci’s animal form, means Oda is giving both preferences of furrydom their pick. Electric, claws, insane jumping and speed. The other two are Carrot who had a great moment of animation against Zoro last episode, and showed, like all the freaking Minks, she’s tough as nails. Plus, unlike Roddy who simply got distracted by Wanda’s simple means, BB chose to eat some bananas as adorable as ever. An afro gorilla who isn’t as much of a hardass as Roddy, but when needing to step up, does not hesitate and acts all business, toppling Jean Bart over. My personal favorite of this group was BB, from his first moments, I loved his design. Roddy is a real angry and serious bull looking guy, and with him we can best see that all the Minks seem to be electric for some reason aka Eneru 2.0 meaning Luffy is the best counter to them. Pedro seems to be the head honcho and a lion to suit that although, outside of being a commander of many troops unnoticed by Luffy while surrounding him, we didn’t get that much. Following this, we got introduced to many of them! There seems to be some tension between the groups of Minks from Pedro’s line: “For Wanda’s sake, let’s retreat today”, from refusing to let Luffy go on Bepo’s request, and from Law speculating there may have been internal discord, and so I think it’s useful to break the Minks apart when discussing them.įirstly, those guarding the Whale Forest- a sacred place no invader should enter. Along this thought, I realized Pekoms also should have been part of them! This is cool because it’s taking a race of people that wasn’t explored and giving them a home and a place of origin just as it was done with Fishmen. Before starting up this episode, I realized all the non-devil fruit humanoid-animals most likely had to be Minks, thus Bepo was probably part of the tribe.
